Chain Piecing
This is quilting at its best. One piece after the other while the mind can wander off to other things. And before long, there is a pile of finished squares being spit out behind the sewing machine. Simple. Relaxing. Productive.

You forgot "therapeutic." That's what piecing is for me. And why I'm beginning to prefer it to the more demanding children's sewing that I do. It's really a form of meditation, isn't it?
And so satisfying because it's such a good use of thread...

I love sewing blocks together...and cutting. Your fabric is beautiful. There are so many beautiful fabrics out there, I always want to start another quilt!
